Our Mission
“The Woodstock Museum NHS exists to collect, conserve, research, exhibit and interpret a collection of representative and significant artifacts that contribute to an understanding of the history of Woodstock and North Oxford County.”
The Collection
The Museum’s collection contains over 23,000 artifacts, including over 8,500 objects, 11,000 photographic images and 3,500 archival documents of Woodstock’s history, which can be viewed on our Online Collections Database! To see an artifact in person for research purposes, or if you have any question about the collection, please contact the Museum Collection/Exhibit Coordinator (519) 537-8411 ex 2902 to set up an appointment.
Location
The Woodstock Museum NHS is located at 466 Dundas Street in Downtown Woodstock in the beautifully landscaped Museum Square. Enjoy a short walk from the Museum to the Market Centre Theatre, Woodstock Art Gallery, Woodstock Library, downtown shopping and many fine restaurants.Admission

We carry “City of Woodstock” & “Cow” paraphernalia such as shirts, coffee mugs, pins, key chains and postcards. We also have a selection of books about Oxford County and some of its more famous residents.
Programs
The purpose of Woodstock Museum Education Programs is to present an authentic account of local history in an educational, engaging and informative manner. School education programs meet current provincial curricula requirements, using museum artifacts and exhibits. The Museum provides a variety of education programs to bring history alive for children and adults alike!
Adult Programs
The Woodstock Museum offers a variety of adult workshops, lectures and programs planned through the year at the museum.
We also offer off-site, one hour, outreach adult programs and talks to retirement homes and other community groups and clubs. A $60 fee applies locally or $80 fee if outside of the City of Woodstock, please contact the Education Officer 519-537-8411 ex 2903 for our available programs.
